A message appeared in a FB chat or possibly a post
Christine C. replied to my query:
Yes, have been hacked. Trying to repair, but have to run now and will get back to this later. Can you check in meantime and see if you get any otChristine C. weird massages. Thank you!
Managed to delete all those strange links. But how do I know I’m still hacked or not? Dimitri H… helped me last week with that virus, by the way
Me:
Important you change your FB password.
Possibly you have a virus in your computer. What type of computer or mobile device are you using?
Is it a PC, a Mac, an ipad, a tablet, a mobile phone?
kaspersky
Me: Recommend you install this, and turn of Kapersky.
Microsoft Security Essentials – Microsoft Windows
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows/security-essentials-download
Once installed, run the file checker – quick first, the full scan.
… *then* full scan…
Before you make those changes, I would recommend downloading and running Malwarebytes.
Christine C.:
You know, that came up on FB on Sunday and I ran it
You ran the Youtube thing?
Christine C.: malware scan Microsoft
Me: What do you mean, it came up?
Christine C.: I tried to log in and FB message came up telling me I had malware, download and run this scan. It was not Youtube.
Did I do wrong?
Me:
You def have a virus. Malwarebytes NOW!

Malwarebytes
It is possible the virus will not allow you to download…
No, don’t worry about pw for now. Download and run the program. Urgent.
If you cannot download, or it will not run, come back to me.
Some viruses prevent the download, some prevent the program from running.
Ideally, it should be run from an external device… don’t worry about that for now. Cheers.
Don’t do anything til the scan finishes on the PC.
Christine C.: Thanks ever so much. All done and hope it works. Changed password too.
I owe you one…. a big one!! Beer or wine and French cheese plate!!
Another person had the same or a very similar virus. This time viewers were offered what looked to be a s*x video..

Kaspersky detects only half of them
Admin: Not sounding at all good. Did Kaspersky provide a log file, in English, which you can forward to me or to someone how knows more about such things?
How do you know that K only detects half?
“Eset detected about 10 viruses”
ESET
www.eset.com
You also need to use Eset social media scanner, and after this there is a function to delete this from chronicle
“i had a ddos attack at work… two days we had no internet and e-mail…
attack was from Russia”
“Adware.MyCentria is malicious adware that will cause you many horrible unwanted computer problems.Adware.MyCentria is actually Russian adware that is ..”
This is part of Russia’s infowar. Putin is spending vast amounts on it.
The Chinese do it too, but have have different objectives. You won’t see much of this sort of thing from the Chinese.
