Steven Cousley was born in Wiradjuri country, where he lives to this day.
He writes "I am now discovering my Aboriginal Heritage. Through research, through talking with other aboriginal people, by exploring the work of other aboriginal artists and story tellers, I am learning more about myself and my people."
