Triumph Cars in America
by Michael Cook
(Paperback)Triumph 2000 and 2.5 P.I.
by Graham Robson
The 2000 was one of Triumph's most popular cars and remained in production for nearly 15 years. The success of this car and increasing competition from other manufacturers encouraged Triumph to produce a model with a more powerful engine, and tightening US exhaust emission regulations led them to experiment with the still new-fangled technology of the fuel injection in the creation of the 2.5 P.I. In the 1970s the range was further modified, with the introduction of the 2500 and the related Stag. This book features detailed chapters on the 2000's rallying and racing fortunes, full specifications for each model and panels detailing the personalities, places and events that shaped the evolution of the Triumph 2000 series. Graham Robson is the author of "Triumph TRs".
